The first bottles with special returnable marks appeared on store shelves in Hungary recently. These products have already been anticipated by environmentally conscious customers. For these goods, traders are obliged to charge a redemption fee of HUF 50. A recently published draft law amending certain tax laws in Hungary is a legislative proposal that aims to introduce e-cash registers and e-receipts as a new way of fulfilling the obligation to provide receipts for transactions. The draft law also specifies the rules and requirements for the distribution, operation, licensing, and supervision of e-cash registers and customer applications. Following the entry into force of the draft, cloud or hardware-based e-cash registers will make it possible to fulfill the obligation of providing receipts. Read more
