A new application for the customers is created by the Serbian Tax authorities for reporting invalid fiscal receipts. As many may know, each fiscal receipt is deemed as proof that tax has been calculated and paid for a specific purchase and in Serbia must contain a QR code. Since last week, the citizens can scan the QR code present on their fiscal receipts to verify the correctness of the receipt issued to them. In the event that the receipt is correct, citizens receive a message that it has been checked, which actually confirms that the retail turnover has been recorded in the Tax Administration system.

If the receipt is not correct or you did not receive a receipt during the purchase, citizens can submit a complaint about irregularities in the operations of a specific business entity both in writing or by phone by calling the Contact Center of the Tax Administration, and now, as stated from the TA, they also have the free mobile application named Tax Alarm at their disposal.

Through the Tax Alarm application, citizens i.e. the customers can simply and easily submit a report on an observed irregularity. Submitting a report via this application is done simply by entering basic data about the business entity that violated the regulation, with the possibility of submitting a picture and specifying the address of the object.

By using the Tax Alert application, the TA guarantees that each user contributes to the reduction of the gray economy and the increase of voluntary legal compliance. The advantage of this application is noted as the ability to submit the application (report) more quickly and efficiently, immediately after the irregularity is noticed.
