Albanian Tax Administration tends to remind all taxpayers who fall under the scope of the Law On Invoice and Turnover Monitoring System about the importance of using electronic certificates. This technical element is very important and it is used to access the portal and receive invoices – it is provided by applying online to the Albanian National Agency for Information Society (NAIS), through the thee-Albania portal. Tax Administration reminds that on July 1, 2021, the implementation of the second phase of fiscalization begins for cashless transactions in B2B – these taxpayers must take measures to acquire an electronic certificate in a timely manner, but it is also a good reminder for taxpayers who will sell goods or provide services in B2C for cash transactions (3rd phase of fiscalization project).
The steps for acquiring the electronic certificate are precisely defined - first of all, the taxpayer must log in as a business operator on the e-Albania portal. The second step is to select the service "Application for an electronic certificate for the fiscalization project and to click the "Use" button. Next, the taxpayer must fill in all data which are required in electronic form. After filling in all necessary information, the taxpayer must click the "Send" button at the bottom of the mentioned form. This request will be sent to the e-Albania Security Directory and will be processed by specialists in the field of Infrastructure and Public Keys.
After finishing the procedure, an electronic certificate will be sent to the email address which taxpayer filled in during the business registration on the e-Albania portal.
