Summary
The Greek digital My Digital Accounting and Tax Application ("myDATA") invoicing and bookkeeping regime is being updated for users reporting via ERPs. The new requirement from the Greek tax office, AADE, for transmission of summary data will switch to live reporting (effectively the same day of sales invoice issuance) from January 1st, 2024. This means that users of ERP solutions will need to comply with real-time data delivery to MyDATA no later than the mentioned deadline.

Taxpayers reporting to the authorities by other routes (manually, through cash registers, or via portal upload) are unaffected by this change. AADE announced a range of other changes, including the use of QR Codes in systems for fiscal receipts in the future. On the last working day of December 2022, the same decision that brought about the mentioned obligation, and was issued by the Greek authorities, also contained some other changes regarding the myDATA obligation.
