Greece extends its temporarily reduced VAT rates once again

The VAT rate was reduced to 13% on non-alcoholic drinks, imports of works of art and supplies of works of art, passenger transport, gyms and dance schools, and tickets for zoos. This particular rate will stay the same until the end of December 2023.

The VAT rate that was reduced to 6% on personal hygiene and protection products, such as face masks, antiseptics, etc., as well as some services, such as theater and concert tickets, and cinema, will not change until the end of 2023 as well.

The measure aims to support businesses and promote consumption, in an effort to counterbalance the impact of inflation and the economic crisis resulting from the COVID pandemic and the energy crisis.
