The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the process of adopting a new Law to regulate many topics concerning internal trade.
The mentioned Minister said that the law will aim to protect consumers from fraud and unfair practices, especially in the field of e-commerce, which has received the most complaints. He also said that the law will be harmonized with European standards in this area.
The main topics that the new expected law will cover include:
- Price rounding
- Online sales and e-commerce
- Consumer protection
- Market control measures and some other topics
When it comes to price rounding on the receipt, the law will regulate how prices are rounded to denominations, and based on the draft, it will likely do so at the level of the whole receipt and not individual products. Another element of this law will include introducing new provisions to prevent fraud and unfair practices in the field of e-commerce and will also require a separate law on e-commerce or at least certain new regulations to provide precise rules in this area.
