Croatian Tax Authority Denies Claims of Fiscalization System Instability
The Croatian Tax Authority has denied claims circulating in public regarding the alleged instability of the fiscalization system, which suggested that taxpayers should postpone sending eInvoices until 7 January.
In an official statement, the Tax Authority confirmed that its fiscalization system is operating stably and in full compliance with prescribed technical specifications. As such, there is no legal or technical basis for delaying the issuance or transmission of eInvoices, including during the period up to 7 January.
The Authority emphasized that the message recommending a postponement is not an official communication issued by the Tax Authority.
Taxpayers are advised to rely exclusively on official communication channels for accurate and verified information. The Tax Authority also warned that the dissemination of false messages, misinformation, or any actions that could destabilize any part of the fiscalization system, considered a main component of national information infrastructure, may be subject to legal action to ensure the system’s protection.
