On February 17, 2026, the Turkish Tax Authority issued a new General Circular under Tax Procedure Law No. 591 requiring taxi operators to install electronic fiscal devices in their vehicles.

These devices, referred to as Taxi Financial Devices, must record and report fares in real time. They must also be able to issue electronic receipts and invoices and support card payments.

The devices will capture key trip data, including journey time, route details, fare amounts, and other transaction information.

Taxi service providers must install and begin using the devices by September 1, 2026
