Tax Inspections in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Reveal Widespread Irregularities
The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina conducted 302 inspections across various sectors, including retail, hospitality, construction, and betting services.
The controls revealed significant non-compliance. Out of 880 registered workers, 84 were unregistered, while 16 businesses operated without proper authorization. Additionally, 4 taxpayers had no fiscal device installed, and 74 failed to record transactions through fiscal systems.
As a result of these violations, authorities sealed 23 business premises and issued 123 fines totalling BAM 421,500. Overall, 40.7% of inspected taxpayers were not compliant with current regulations.
The Tax Administration announced that inspections will continue in the coming period to improve tax discipline and ensure proper use of fiscal systems.
