The Public Revenue Office of North Macedonia has warned companies testing the new e-Invoice system to use only official information and official software sources.
Companies involved in testing should follow the instructions published on the official Efactura wiki website. Questions and suggestions should be sent to the official e-Invoice contact address or to the tax agents already involved in the testing process.
The warning was issued because web extensions have appeared in the Chrome Web Store claiming to support the electronic signing process for PRO e-Invoices. According to the Public Revenue Office, these extensions were not developed by the official developer of the original e-Invoice project extension.
For this reason, companies should not download or use unofficial browser extensions from third-party sources. The correct browser extension for the e-Invoice project should be downloaded only from the official Efactura wiki website.
The notice is especially important because the e-Invoice project is still in the testing phase. Businesses participating in testing should ensure that their technical setup follows only official instructions to avoid security risks, signing problems, or incorrect system use.
