The Financial Administration of Slovakia has officially launched electronic invoicing, introducing a new service that allows entrepreneurs to select a certified delivery provider — known as a digital postman — for handling their invoices.

The service is available in the eInvoice section of the Financial Administration portal under “List of certified delivery service providers and their intermediaries.”

Entrepreneurs log in with their taxable person account and select a provider from the certified list. Identity verification is carried out through electronic identification, ensuring secure registration and preventing fraud.

How the process looks:

·         Entrepreneurs log in via the Slovensko.sk portal.

·         If representing multiple entities, they select the company for which the action applies.

·         Contact details (email and phone) are entered for communication.

·         A digital postman is chosen from the certified list.

·         The system securely sends identification data to the provider.

·         The provider confirms the entrepreneur’s identity and registers them in the Peppol network.

The process takes only 2–3 minutes and ensures that entrepreneurs are reliably connected to certified providers. Once confirmed, the entrepreneur receives a welcome email, and the digital postman activates the service.
