The new EET 2.0 project -fiscalization in the Czech Republic has been introduced as a modern solution for recording sales, as the reintroduction of the fiscalization for the second time in history.

The first phase of the EET 2.0 information website is now available. It is designed mainly for developers of POS software and provides:

  • Technical documentation for integration and testing
  • Specifications and guidelines for development
  • Basic materials to support implementation

This platform represents reliable source of information, helping entrepreneurs, cash register device developers, customers, and the wider public better understand the new system.

The complete website will gradually expand to include:

  • Methodological guidance for taxpayers and suppliers
  • News updates on legislative developments
  • Q&A resources published by the financial administration

Also, it represented some of the main futures of the new system:

  • No tenders: Suppliers of SW or HW for terminal cash registers are not selected through tenders.
  • No certification: Manufacturers, suppliers, and service companies do not need special certification or inspection.
  • Entrepreneur choice: Each entrepreneur decides which device to use — whether a cash register, system, tablet, or mobile phone.

The chosen cash register or device must be technically capable of sending required sales information online via the Internet to the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic.

Importantly, the timetable has been further introduced:

  • 1.7. 2026: making the Playground testing environment available – the revenue side of sales records, for developers
