Germany: New Version of ZUGFeRD/Factur-X e-Invoice Format Released

The German FeRD forum and the French FNFE-MPE forum have released a new version of their joint e-invoicing format, ZUGFeRD 2.5 / Factur-X 1.09.

The update aligns the format with the latest code lists used under the European e-invoicing standard EN 16931. These code lists are published by the European Commission and are regularly updated.

The new version also adds new elements to the EXTENDED profile. These changes are connected to the revised data model expected in the upcoming update of the EN 16931-1 standard.

FeRD plans to continue updating ZUGFeRD in line with the regular semi-annual updates of the European e-invoicing code lists.
