The Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) has announced that applications are now open for the certification and maintenance of Electronic Fiscal Software (EFS).
This process is based on Administrative Instruction (MoF) No. 01/2026 and the official document outlining the Specific Technical and Functional Requirements for fiscal devices, systems, and software. This is new regulations, which introduces a software for fiscalization. The 2026 regulation keeps fiscal devices and fiscal systems in the framework, but it adds Electronic Fiscal Software (EFS) as an official fiscalization component. This Instruction repeals Administrative Instruction MF-No. 02/2018.
TAK invites all natural persons (business and non-business) and legal entities who meet the required conditions to apply to become Authorized Economic Operators for the sale, installation, and maintenance of EFS.
Application criteria, required documentation, and procedures are available on the official TAK website. Applicants can download the document: “Conditions and procedures to apply for certification and maintenance of Electronic Fiscal Software (EFS)”.
Applications may be submitted: Electronically via the “Application for EFS” form on the TAK website, or in person at the TAK Central Office Archive.
