Croatia to Replace Fiscalization Application Certificate in September 2026
Croatia’s Tax Authority has announced that its Fiskalcis application certificate used in the final-consumption fiscalization system will be replaced on September 8, 2026 at 5:00 a.m.
The Fiskalcis certificate is used by the Tax Authority to digitally sign XML response messages sent back to fiscalization devices. After receiving the response, the taxpayer’s device verifies the signature using the certificate’s public key.
The public key of the new Fiskalcis certificate will be available from September 1, 2026 through the FINA certificate search service and the Tax Authority’s website.
Businesses and software providers using Croatia’s fiscalization system should make sure that their payment and fiscal devices are updated with the new certificate before the replacement date to avoid communication or validation problems.
Questions about certificate downloads can be sent to FINA at certifikatiti-fiskalizacija@fina.hr , while technical questions concerning connection to the Tax Administration’s fiscalization system can be sent to fiskalizacija.help@apis-it.hr
