Norway: Altinn Information Pages Move to info.altinn.no as Part of Platform Modernization
Norway’s Altinn will move its public information pages to the info.altinn.no subdomain from October 30, 2026. Users visiting altinn.no will be redirected automatically, while logged-in services, including the inbox, profile and existing Altinn forms, will remain on altinn.no.
Norway’s Altinn platform has announced a change to the web address used for its public information pages as part of the ongoing modernization of the platform. From Monday, October 30, 2026, information available before users log in will move from altinn.no to the new info.altinn.no subdomain.
Users will not need to manually navigate to the new address. Anyone accessing altinn.no for the affected information pages will be automatically redirected to info.altinn.no.
The change covers information pages that users access before logging into Altinn. According to Altinn, this includes the front page, form catalogue, information for starting and running a business, and help pages.
The change does not mean that all Altinn functionality is moving to the new subdomain. After logging in, users will continue to access their inbox, profile and existing Altinn forms through altinn.no or www.altinn.no.
The move is part of the wider modernization of the Altinn platform.
Altinn explains that its information pages have been transferred to a cloud platform located in a different technical environment from the inbox and older Altinn services. Moving the public information pages to a dedicated subdomain reflects this separation.
The change should therefore be understood primarily as a technical and navigational update to Altinn’s infrastructure rather than a regulatory change.
Impact on businesses and compliance processes
For most businesses, the immediate operational impact should be limited because Altinn will automatically redirect visitors from the existing address.
However, companies and software or compliance teams that maintain internal documentation, bookmarks, instructions or direct links to Altinn information pages should be aware of the new info.altinn.no address. Even where automatic redirects work, updating frequently used references can help ensure that internal procedures point directly to the current location.
What should businesses do?
No immediate action is required from ordinary Altinn users because visits to the affected pages through altinn.no will be redirected automatically.
Businesses may nevertheless review bookmarks, internal compliance instructions, knowledge bases and links to Altinn guidance and update them to info.altinn.no where appropriate.
In our view, the change has limited direct compliance impact, but businesses should distinguish the relocation of public information pages from Altinn’s authenticated services. Internal documentation containing direct Altinn links should be reviewed to avoid outdated references after the migration.
