Important changes concerning e-documents in Italy

You’ve probably heard that Italy has introduced significant changes in September 2020 when it comes to the creation and preservation of electronic documents.

Although the introduced changes should have come into force from the 7th of June 2021, the Agency for Digital Italy has however postponed the implementation of the new guideline until the 1st January 2022.
From that date, the new Guidelines about the creation, management, and preservation of the e-documents shall be applicable and the taxpayers must operate in compliance with the new rules.
