The fiscalization system in the Republic of Srpska has been introduced in 2007 through the promulgation of the first important regulation in this field. The Law of Fiscal Cash Registers is one of the pillars of the fiscalization mechanism.

The Fiscal law was introduced in 2007 but the implementation of fiscalization mechanism has happened a bit later. According to the fiscal regulation in this country, every retail store is obliged to record every single turnover over fiscal devices. This is valid for every method of payment.

Clarifying the actual VAT refund process for foreign customers in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Foreign customers in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) have the opportunity to claim a VAT refund on purchased goods, provided they meet certain conditions. According to the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (ITA BiH), non-resident individuals without a place of residence in BiH are eligible for VAT refunds when they buy goods in the country and take them out of its customs territory. Bosnia and Herzegovina taxes B2C digital services for non-resident traders with VAT
Bosnia and Herzegovina has imposed a value-added tax on non-resident providers of digital services, i.e., the new value-added tax (VAT) rules for non-resident providers of digital services are in alignment with EU regulations on taxation in the location of consumption. The new rules require foreign providers to register, collect, and remit 17% VAT to the Indirect Taxation Authority. Read more
