Slovenia is one of the representatives of the new type of fiscalization, which has also been used in few other European countries. The online type of fiscalization has also been implemented in Slovenia. It has been defined as the most productive and efficient method of control of taxpayers in this sector.

The core of Slovenian fiscal law is an online authorization of every fiscal relevant transaction created at the POS system. POS software solution communicates with Tax Authority, collects authorization code which is printed on every receipt. QR code is also mandatory to be printed on every fiscal receipt.
