Starting August 1, 2025, taxpayers in Slovenia will be able to submit their VAT records directly through online services, by importing them into the eDavki portal or the MiniBlagajn application.
The VAT-O calculations will be automatically generated three times a day, at approximately 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 4:00 PM, based on the pre-filling rules. These pre-filled calculations will appear in the “Submitted Documents” section on eDavki.
The VAT-O is the official VAT return form that taxable persons must use to report their value-added tax (VAT) obligations to the Slovenian Tax Authority.
For the July 2025 reporting period, the Tax Authority will prepare pre-filled VAT-O returns if records are submitted:
- By August 14, 2025, for taxpayers who conducted intra-EU transactions and are required to submit a recapitulative statement,
- By August 26, 2025, for taxpayers who did not conduct intra-EU transactions.
If a taxpayer submits their records and does not receive a pre-filled VAT-O return by the following day, they should first review the published guidance to check whether a pre-filled return is expected. If it should be pre-filled but hasn’t been generated, they are advised to contact the tax authority by email at sd.fu@gov.si.
