Panama has a hybrid fiscalization system combining certified fiscal devices with electronic invoicing (SFEP). Businesses must issue fiscal receipts or electronic invoices and communicate fiscal data to the tax authority, either through daily Z reports or electronic invoice authorization. POS applications do not require government certification, while fiscal devices must be certified and comply with mandatory hardware requirements.
