Romania cuts VAT on car petrol from April 2022

The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania has made a proposal for cutting VAT on automobile fuel to 5% from April this year.

Last week, by the same institution this proposal got adopted and covered: leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and diesel as well. These changes are going to be in force from April 1st, 2022. in this country.
Starting from April, another VAT cut, specifically on domestic electricity, is also being pushed and probably will be adopted in the upcoming month due to an increase in the cost of living overall.
