No more printed receipts in France!

Due to a recent effort to shift towards a circular economy, waste reduction, but also due to harmful materials present in receipt heat-activated ink and in accordance with the provisions of Article L. 541-15-10 of the Environmental Code receipts will only be printed in case the customer explicitly asks for a printed copy, otherwise, receipts can be sent via e-mail. A decree to confirm this provision of the Environmental Code is soon to be adopted.
