Failure in internet connection while using fiscal cash registers in Romania
According to the provisions of OPANAF nr. ANRE President's Order no. 435/2021 on the approval of the Procedure for connecting fiscal electronic cash registers, defined in Article 3 para. (2) of GEO no. 28/1999 on the obligation of economic operators to use fiscal electronic cash registers, at the national information system for surveillance and monitoring of tax data of ANAF, art. 2 para. (2) all entities that use cash registers must register in the Virtual Private Space because monthly ANAF sends messages about possible malfunctions of operation.
If during a day the internet connection is interrupted, the fiscal electronic cash register works independently and offers the same facilities to the user as in the case of working in the presence of the internet connection.
After the moment of connecting the cash register to the ANAF information system, the recorded data, including those from the period when the Internet stopped, are automatically transmitted by the cash register after generating the Z report file, without the need to send the A4200 statement.
It is important that the generation of the daily Z report is carried out properly when the internet is working.
However, there can be cases when the economic operators would need to submit A4200 statement non-less. These are the cases easily determined by using the Virtual Private Space area of ANAF website. Therefore, only if a warning message has been received on the SPV that there are files identified as not transmitted by computer, the company will need to take the necessary steps to transmit the tax data through the A4200 statement.
If the economic entity that uses a fiscal cash register connected to ANAF has not received a warning message from ANAF, it means that all the data on receipt from that day has been sent.
