Law on Euro adopted by the Croatian Parliament

On Friday, May 13, 2022, the Croatian Parliament adopted the Law on the Introduction of the Euro as the Official Currency in Croatia by an absolute majority of votes - 117 representatives voted for the law, 13 were against and one abstained.
This is the last step on the Croatian side needed for the adoption of the euro and official confirmation from Europe that Croatia is entering the eurozone is being waited. That invitation should arrive in July.

Everyone is convinced that this is just a formality, even in the Croatian National Bank (CNB), which has stopped printing kuna banknotes and coins. Earlier in the month, the CNB said it was ready to print the euro.
The euro should become the official currency in Croatia from January 1, 2023, and by September 5 at the latest, the dual display of prices will begin, in kunas and euros, which will be mandatory throughout the next year. With the confirmation of entry given by the Council of Europe, the exact exchange rate at which we will exchange kuna will be known. The exchange rate will be stated on the products, as well as the price in euros and the price in kunas.
