This Law regulates the introduction of the euro as the official currency in the Republic of Croatia, rules for conversion, supply and exchange of kuna cash for euro cash, double circulation, dual displaying, application of the principle of continuity of legal instruments, budgets, financial plans, business books, financial statements and taxes in the process of introduction of the euro, supervision over the application of this Law and misdemeanor provisions.

The Law on the Introduction of the Euro as the Official Currency in the Republic of Croatia was published in the Official Gazette No. 57/22 and shall enter into force on the first day following the publication of the EU Council Decision on the adoption of the euro in accordance with Article 140 (2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union in the Official Journal of the European Union, except Articles 13, 16 and 17, Articles 25 to 31, Articles 39 to 41, Articles 54 to 59, Articles 64 to 68, Article 88 and Article 92 of this Act, which shall enter into force on the day of the introduction of the euro.
