The Albanian government is still working on resolving the non-operation of e-Albania due to an organized cyberattack

Since for the invoicing programs to function an electronic certificate is needed, the non-operation of the system makes it impossible to initialize the process of acquiring or renewing electronic certificates.
Moreover, with businesses having adapted to working with the digitalized fiscalization services, ever since the Law no. 87/2019 "On the invoice and traffic monitoring system" was adopted, if the non-operation of e-Albania continues, businesses may be at risk of facing high costs to carry out the backup of the structure.
Finally, The Central Invoice Platform is a common business space for documenting transactions and it is a part of the e-Albania system. Invoices are accepted, verified, generated, or rejected there, so if the non-operation issue is not resolved, the management of invoices will be severely impacted and businesses will be subject to legal penalties.
