Tax authorities have announced a message for the taxpayers to be careful in the next weeks! Again, fake and misleading messages on behalf of ANAF are arising. When reporting some taxpayers, ANAF warns, less than a month after the previous emails of some cybercriminals, regarding false messages sent on behalf of the institution, through which taxpayers are notified that they have to pay "taxes to the budgetary system in Romania" while not coming from TA itself.

When reporting some taxpayers, ANAF warns, not even a month after the previous many emails of hackers i.e. cybercriminals, regarding fake messages sent in the name of this institution, through which taxpayers are notified that they have to pay a certain amount of taxes to the system budget from Romania.
These messages appear in the last few weeks in the recipients i.e. taxpayer's e-mail inboxes thus far. For taxpayers' safety, ANAF (Romanian TA) advises to not open these emails, and if they have been opened already, do not access the attached documents or links in the content. Lastly, in no case to send money to the mentioned accounts and according to the false messages.
In order to avoid such problems, TA once again reminds all taxpayers that they have developed and made available to taxpayers for free a special platform - the Virtual Private Space service, that enables secure communication with this institution.
