EET CA1 certification to be updated in the Czech Republic
Summary
The root certificate of the EET CA1 certification authority will be updated and extended on September 5, 2022, until the end of September 2026. After the update, it will be part of all newly issued cash certificates to taxpayers. This step ensures that the validity of the treasury certificates is sufficiently covered by the validity of the root CA certificate.

The same change took place for the Playground environment at the EET CA Playground certification authority.
For both environments, even after updating the root certificate, the following applies:
- The certification authority remains the same.
- The type of certificate and the method of encryption do not change. The authority keys remain valid, the CA certificate is identical to the original except for the serial number and expiration date.
