Penalties for those who do not dually display prices according to the rules in Croatia

Retailers and all other business entities that are subject to the obligation of dual displaying of prices, and have not clearly, legibly, and visibly and easily noticed the prices in kuna and euro, and also displayed the fixed conversion rate in a visible place, may be fined in the range of 20.000 HRK up to 100.000 HRK.
This range of penalties applies to all business dealings with consumers, so for non-compliance with the provisions on dual displaying of prices and value of services, employers may be fined if they did not dually display the mandatory amounts on payroll, notaries public who did not show the price of their services in both currencies, and all public authorities that do business with consumers.
In the same range, fines are also set for banks that do not conclude an agreement with the Croatian National Bank on advance supply of euros or supply their clients with euros without an agreement.
