Taxpayers will be able to find out in real time whether the receipt is genuine or so called "monkey" by simply scanning the QR code of the receipt. At the same time, the AADE will be informed in real time and the relevant audit will begin and the fines provided for by the tax legislation will be imposed.
In order to inform all taxpayers about the possibilities they will have for the new application for reading QR Codes of receipts, the Independent Authority is preparing a nationwide information campaign.
The application will enable consumers to check the details and validity of a receipt, which they receive as part of their transaction, by scanning the QR code on it with their mobile phone. The data will then be automatically sent to the AADE system and the consumer will be informed of the result of the control and in the event of a violation being found, he will have the opportunity to report the proof to the AADE.
In addition to mobile phones, in the battle to combat false receipts, updated laptops have been mobilized with which the AADE inspectors will have the opportunity on the spot to check the authenticity of the receipts issued by businesses through the scanning of the QR Code.
