The Tax Authority issued a notice regarding the introduction of the euro in Croatia
Summary
Regarding the introduction of the euro as the official currency in the Republic of Croatia from January 1, 2023, the Croatian Tax Authority issued a notice, thus informing those subject to fiscalization that receipts must be submitted to the fiscalization system in the currency that is in use at the time of issuing the specific document (receipts, transactions, or accompanying documents).
Content
In accordance with that rule:
- if the date of issue of the document is December 31, 2022. Data are reported and submitted in kuna;
- if the document is issued on January 1, 2023. Data are reported and submitted in euros.
At the same time, the Tax Authority once again drew attention to the fact that the XML schema will not change.
