Summary
When sending a transaction message to the e-Kasa system, if there is no response, the data message has to be stored and sent again within 96 hours from the initial attempt. If there was a response timeout because the e-Kasa system was down or not working properly, then the stored message should be re-sent within 96 hours from the time the system started working again.

The retailer can keep processing transactions even if there is no response message from the e-Kasa system; in that case, an "OFFLINE RECEIPT" will be issued to the customer. On offline receipts, instead of the Unique Document Identifier (UDI), a Signature Code (PKP) will be printed.
