Updates for e-invoice in Lithuania

In terms of e-invoicing in Lithuania, some new information has been published. E-invoicing will be based on the EU standard on invoicing (EN 16931). More precisely, the Ministry for the Economy has started scoping a project implementation plan.
But what will be included in this plan?

This will include a free service to supplement an API-based submission from EPRs and an accounting system service for invoices covering: submission of sales invoices and exchange with customers. Authorities want to introduce the e-invoicing tool by September 2023. As a reminder, since July 2017, Lithuania has already had a centralized invoicing service for B2G invoicing, based on the PEPPOL standard.
