The Greek AADE announces: end of handwritten appeals to the tax office with the introduction of mandatory digitalization in this area

From February 1st, open-ended appeals and suspension requests will be submitted exclusively digitally via the Internet before the Dispute Resolution Directorate , according to the decision of the Independent Public Revenue Authority. The decision also precisely defines the transitional stage, during which handwritten submissions to the competent tax authority will be possible as an alternative, while the content and process of a digital submission are also regulated.

Open appeals and suspension requests concerning actions, express or implied, issued or carried out by the services are now submitted exclusively digitally via the internet by the website of A.A.D.E., i.e., www.aade.gr, using TAXISnet personal access codes, within the deadline set by the relevant provisions, beginning February 1, 2023. The aforementioned exclusive, online, digital submission of the appeal and the suspension request does not apply to taxpayers resident abroad, who are alternatively provided with the possibility of handwritten submission to the competent tax authority.
