Fiscal subject related
With this second decision of the commander of AADE, taking into account the observations resulting from the relevant consultation and the implementation tests by the manufacturers, the interface specifications between the electronic tax mechanism (fiscal device) and EFT/POS payment card acceptance terminals are updated and are valid from January 1, 2023.
The main points of the update are the improvement of the encryption in the communication between the two devices and how to handle any possible failures in either the electronic tax mechanism or the connection infrastructure of the two devices.
The interconnection of the fiscal device with EFT (the card payment system) aims to facilitate transactions with payment cards while simultaneously securing public revenues from the issuance of retail receipts through electronic tax mechanism devices.
AADE remains in constant cooperation with the agencies, so that these interconnection specifications are implemented as soon as possible and that the businesses connect the electronic tax mechanism with the EFT they have in a timely manner, in accordance with the relevant schedules of the Greek Recovery and Resilience Fund.
