Fiscal subject related
As a short reminder, the transaction will be initiated by the cash register for retail transactions, and the operator (cashier) will select "card payment," and the cash register will send the relevant request to the POS card payment system (EFT). The system will then confirm to the tax mechanism (cash register) the receipt of the request and put it on hold for the result, after the EFT will have connected to the bank or corresponding payment service and received the result, i.e., whether or not to approve the card transaction. Along with the approval, the system will also send the basic details of the transaction (such as the transaction number, approval code, etc.), as well as data for printing the receipt from the electronic fiscal mechanism, which will confirm the receipt of the final result.
A temporary failure of the cash register or EFT device is declared on the "eSend" digital platform, which will give the command to activate the possibility of entering the payment amount in the case of debit transactions. Activation of such an EFT keying feature due to an infrastructure failure of the cash register to enter a payment amount in the case of card (debit only) transactions has a usually defined duration of 12 hours and is allowed a maximum of once every three months.
For businesses operating in villages with a population of up to 500 inhabitants and islands with fewer than 3,100 inhabitants, the release of the EFT POS keyboard has a maximum duration of 5 days, unless it is a tourist location, in which case the regular deadlines are applicable.
