More precisely, the deadline for the mandatory technical inspection of the cash register is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance on cash registers, and the cash registers should be submitted for inspection at least every 2 years. In practice, this means that the inspection can be performed more frequently (e.g., when the taxpayer knows that he will be away on a given date), but this period cannot be exceeded. The technical inspection is carried out by a service technician assigned to a specific cash register. After receiving the notification from the taxpayer, he has three days to review the cash register. It is important to state that penalties can be imposed if rules are not respected. The fine is PLN 300, and it can be more, depending on the previous fines if they are imposed on taxpayers, and other sanctions in terms of VAT can be imposed.
