The bill, which would require businesses to report their invoices in real time, was set to go into effect on January 1, 2024. However, a public version of the bill has not yet been released, leaving many businesses uncertain about the requirements they will need to comply with.

The Ministry of Finance has stated that it would like to give businesses at least 12 months to prepare for the new regulations. However, given the current state of the legislative process and the upcoming Directive on VAT in the digital age, the effective date of the law may need to be postponed until 2025.
