All requirements are centered around the functionalities of the POS system. The aforementioned law and accompanying bylaws prescribe the mandatory functionalities of the POS system as well as functions that the system must not have. Aside from the obligatory POS functions, every system used to process sales transactions must possess a declaration of conformity. This declaration confirms that the system is compliant with Norwegian regulations and is issued by the Norwegian Tax Authority.
