As we’ve already introduced, the Ministry of Finance in Poland launched an e-receipt application, whose use is voluntary. It was launched on September 15 of this year. As a reminder, the application allows buyers to download an electronic proof of purchase and then store it in the form of an e-receipt.

Receipt HUB will:

  • will link an anonymous customer with receipts issued by the cash register (without the need to submit the personal data of the customer).
  • will collect e-receipts issued by individual cash registers in stores and
  • will send an e-receipt to the customer.

To remind you of the procedure, the buyer will first download and install an application on his smartphone. The application will connect once to the e-receipt distribution system to download a unique identifier in the form of a barcode. The customer will use this ID at checkout to request an electronic receipt. The buyer presents the ID to the cashier, who scans it with a reader, and the cash register sends the receipt to the distribution system. Thanks to the application, the customer can download his receipt from the system in a few seconds. Customers will repeat the same actions when downloading subsequent e-receipts from other stores.
