The app allows users to scan the receipts they receive from businesses and check if they match the data that the businesses have sent to the myDATA platform. The myDATA platform is a digital system that collects and verifies the accounting data of all transactions that take place in Greece.
If the users find any differences or errors in the receipts, they can report them to the AADE through the app, either by giving their name or anonymously. The AADE will then investigate the cases and take the necessary actions. The users who report the illegal receipts can receive a cash prize of up to 2,000 euros, depending on the severity of the violation and the amount of taxes evaded.
The app is available for download on Google Play and the Apple Store, and it has been updated with new features and improvements. Users can now choose from more categories and reasons for reporting, such as fake receipts, wrong amounts, wrong VAT rates, or wrong business details.
The app also prevents users from making multiple or abusive reports about the same case. It also has a better user interface and security, which makes it easier and safer to use. The app is part of AADE's strategy to fight tax evasion, along with other electronic tools that monitor and audit transactions, such as Eispraxis and AuditLive.
Eispraxis is a tool that allows taxpayers to declare their income and expenses online, and AuditLive is a tool that allows AADE to perform real-time audits of transactions. With Appodixi, users can help the tax authorities and benefit themselves by scanning and reporting illegal receipts.
