Under the revised Law on Fiscalization in Cash Transactions in Croatia, businesses subject to taxation must promptly disclose information about tips received as a reward for exceptional service. This reporting obligation is mandated within two days of issuing and fiscalizing the associated receipt. Only businesses that receive tips as part of their business are obligated to implement these changes. Meaning that this requirement will mostly affect the HORECA sector. The implementation of the new reporting requirement for tips is scheduled to commence on January 1, 2024.
