The official website for the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria, evroto.bg, has updated its "For Citizens" and "For Business" sections, providing answers to key questions regarding the country's eurozone accession process. The updates, published on April 15, 2025, introduce clear, concise, and accessible information for individuals and businesses. Launched in March 2024, evroto.bg remains a central hub for news, decisions, and events related to the euro adoption process.
"For Citizens" section updates are:
· Addresses topics such as prices, currency conversion, loans, deposits, salaries, pensions, and contract implications.
· Provides practical advice, including how to report suspected irregularities.
"For Business" section updates are
· Explains the changes businesses will face after adopting the euro.
· Covers accounting adjustments, cash register configurations, asset valuation, and double-entry pricing rules.
Both sections include a "What do I need to know?" segment, which answers general questions about the euro adoption process, such as the convergence report, official exchange rates, and the timeline for euro introduction.
Also, the redesigned sections feature a user-friendly layout, enabling visitors to quickly navigate and focus on topics of interest.
