Spain's tax administration publishes an example certification template for POS software under the VERI*FACTU system.

Spain’s tax authority has published a sample responsible declaration template for certifying POS software under the VERI*FACTU system, applicable to companies with a Spanish tax ID. This model declaration confirms that the software complies with all fiscalization requirements, forming part of Spain’s verification-certification approach to prevent tax fraud and ensure accurate transaction reporting.

 

Spain’s tax administration has published examples of responsible declarations used for certifying software that will be used in fiscalization, all in accordance with the VeriFacu requirements. 

The responsible declarations serve as formal statements, or models, ensuring that fiscal software meets all legal and technical standards, preventing tax fraud, and ensuring the proper registration of financial transactions. As a reminder, Spain adopted a so-called verification-certification procedure. That is how the certification procedure will be applied, in the terms that POS SW manufacturers, via this declaration, will confirm or certify that software meets all fiscalization requirements. The first example that has been published is for companies with Spanish tax identification numbers. More examples and additional clarifications are expected to be published.
