Romania published the deadlines for connecting the cash registers to the ANAF’s server

Romanian National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) republished the deadlines by which the procedure for connecting the cash registers is completed, after discussion with the distributors authorized by AMEF and with the representatives of the service employers.

The pandemic context materialized by the successive prolongation of the state of alert (current and at present) and its consequences, led to the extension of the period in which interinstitutional meetings were scheduled as well as urgent actions necessary to carry out technical processes without which service technicians would be prevented to carry out the tasks essential to achieving the objective.

The performance and security tests performed on the computer application necessary for the implementation of the project for connecting the fiscal electronic cash registers in Romania revealed the need for adjustments to consolidate the software application. 

Starting with March 31, 2021, the connection will be made by categories of taxpayers and the following terms will be observed:

a) until 30.06.2021 the economic operators included in the category of large taxpayers;

b) until 30.11.2021 the economic operators from the category of medium and small taxpayers; 

c) the economic operators that purchase fiscal electronic cash registers after 1.12.2021, at the date of installing the fiscal electronic cash register.

The exception is represented by the economic operators that use fiscal electronic cash registers installed in areas not served by electronic communications networks. 

However, they have the obligation to complete and submit a declaration on their own responsibility in compliance with the following deadlines:

a) the economic operators included in the category of large taxpayers, until 30.06.2021;

b) the economic operators from the category of medium and small taxpayers until 30.11.2021;

c) the economic operators that purchase fiscal electronic cash registers after 1.12.2021 - within 2 working days from the date of installation of the fiscal electronic cash register.
