Sanctions for economic operators in Romania

Economic operators that have not replaced their old cash registers will be directly sanctioned, without applying a remediation plan. Starting with January 8, 2021, the user will directly receive a fine from 8,000 lei to 10,000 lei, such as confiscation of unjustified amounts, suspension of the activity of the economic operator at the unit for sale of goods or provision of services, until the endowment with fiscal ECR and presentation of proof of payment of the fine or half of its amount, as the case may be, to the ascertaining body.
