From April 1, 2021, all invoices, even those which are issued to individuals, will be seen by the Tax Office. The three-month sanction-free period for a smooth transition ended on March 31, 2021. About 98% of businesses already switched to the new system, which can also transmit data from retail. In early March, only 20,000 out of 871,000 companies sent invoice data through the old system. The Secretary of the State noted that the transition to a new system (XSD 3.0) is also important from a data protection point of view, as this specification ensures the anonymity of public data. Retail data is essential for the analysis of the sales side, but the personal data of an individual customer is not required, so it is not seen by the Tax Office either.
