Notice to Taxpayers in Jurisdiction of Kosovo – New EDI -electronic system update
The Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) has announced the release of a new version of the EDI Electronic System, which now includes the electronic service “Request for Fiscalization.”
The service was introduced under Administrative Instruction (MF) No. 01/2026 on the use of Electronic Fiscal Devices (EFD), Fiscal Systems, and Electronic Fiscal Software (EFS).
Its purpose is to issue a Unique Fiscalization Code, which is required before taxpayers can use the Electronic Fiscal Software (EFS).
Application is made for:
- Taxpayers starting EFS: Those who plan to begin using the Electronic Fiscal Software.
- Taxpayers transitioning: Those moving from Electronic Fiscal Devices (EFD) to EFS.
The service is available in the EDI System under the “Fiscalization” menu → “Request for Fiscalization.” Taxpayers who already have a Unique Fiscalization Code will see it displayed in the system. Taxpayers without one can apply directly through the service to have a code issued.
Having a Unique Fiscalization Code is a mandatory requirement for using the EFS. TAK urges all taxpayers—both new users and those transitioning from EFD—to check their status in the EDI System and submit a request if they have not yet been issued a code.
