Fiscal Solutions Community Day 2026 brought together retail and fiscalization experts from 16 countries in Belgrade to discuss regulatory changes, global e-invoicing, and POS globalization challenges. The event fostered knowledge sharing, networking, and international collaboration.

Fiscal Solutions successfully hosted another Community Day on October 15, 2026, in Belgrade, bringing together retailers, POS vendors, technology providers, and fiscal compliance experts from 16 countries (Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and many others) to exchange practical experience and discuss global retail challenges.

Connecting Retail Professionals from Around the World

The event provided a valuable opportunity for professionals working in retail technology, fiscalization, and regulatory compliance to share experiences, exchange knowledge, and discuss the challenges of operating in an increasingly complex global retail environment.

First held in 2024, Fiscal Solutions Community Day has grown into one of the few events of its kind dedicated to bringing together the global retail and fiscalization community. More than just a conference, it provides a unique meeting place for professionals facing similar challenges across different markets, encouraging open discussions, practical knowledge sharing, and stronger international cooperation.

Exploring Fiscalization Changes and Global Industry Trends

The event featured a series of presentations covering some of the most relevant developments in the global fiscalization landscape.

One of the main topics was the upcoming fiscalization reform in the Czech Republic, including the expected introduction of a new fiscalization system and its impact on retailers and POS providers.

Participants also explored fiscalization developments in France and Germany, discussing regulatory changes, compliance requirements, and the growing importance of adapting retail systems to different national regulations.

Global E-Invoicing and the Challenges of POS Globalization

As electronic invoicing continues to transform business processes worldwide, Vini da Silva - Senior Strategic Alliance Manager at Avalara delivered a presentation providing a global overview of e-invoicing, highlighting crucial developments and the challenges businesses face when operating across multiple jurisdictions.

One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion, “Challenges of POS Globalization,” featuring three industry professionals:

• Irina Poiana, Global Platform Lead, Customer Invoice and Payment, METRO AG

• Srjana Balraj, Global Head, TCS OmniStore, Tata Consultancy Services

The discussion explored the challenges of implementing and managing POS solutions internationally, balancing global standardization with local fiscal requirements, and maintaining operational efficiency across different markets.

The panel also emphasized the importance of cooperation between retailers, technology providers, and fiscal compliance specialists in addressing these challenges.

In addition to regulatory and industry-focused sessions, attendees were introduced to the latest updates and improvements to the Fiscal Solutions Portal, demonstrating how the platform continues to evolve to support access to fiscalization information and regulatory developments.
